About the Artist

Jillian Kimbell is a fine artist and teacher who enjoys sharing the wonder in the everyday. She finds joy in expressing the nuances of colour and shade in her work, some of which are very large paintings. In her Songs of the Sky series, she sought to express the joy she felt while flying from Ottawa to Halifax.

She graduated from NSCAD University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Fine Art (speciality painting) and Minor in illustration.
